Issue 3, Brighstone Buzz, 19th September, 2014

I would like to congratulate Tom and Lacey at becoming our new Head Boy and Girl, as well as Oakley and Alice who have become Deputy Head Boy and Girl. They were awarded their badges during Golden Worship along with the class representatives for the School Council.

Coleman’s Farm was the venue for the Year 1 visit this week. The children returned to school full of enthusiasm and with many happy memories. Farm animals have been the basis of their topic work this week and have led to some wonderful pictures and pieces of writing. Well done Penguins.

Hard work and sustained effort will underpin the BSA Fun Run tomorrow. A dedicated team of runners are taking part in the Around the Island Relay, raising money on behalf of the School. We wish you all Luck, if you would like to sponsor the team please let the office know.

Next Friday is our Harvest Festival (details below) and Melissa and I will be in the Church prior to this with cake and coffee raising money for Macmillan an amazing charity which is very close to many of our hearts.

Have a great weekend

Parent Survey – Feedback

“Brighstone School is an excellent school. Very happy with the progress my child is making”

“My child has come on in leaps and bounds and has massively surprised me. I am very happy.”

Thanks to all parents who took part in our recent Parent Questionnaire. We are proud to report that 100% of parents who responded said that their child is happy and feels safe at our school. The responses this year also show an overall improvement in the school’s performance in meeting particular pupils’ needs, supporting learning, receiving information about progress and dealing with bullying – and it was great to see that you feel we are good at keeping you well informed.

Our thanks to all parents who completed the questionnaire.
