I have enjoyed all the fun of the fair this week, well Theme Park to be precise. Year 3 have all been working hard on terrific poems about Theme Parks, many of which are displayed on the wall in their classroom. I was also lucky enough to be given an in-depth demonstration of Year 5’s motorised Theme Park Ride prototypes that they have been working on in Design and Technology.
Mr Evans has been enthusiastically telling me about his class’s literacy focus and I look forward to reading the diary entries Year 4 will be writing in the future.
I have also been delighted to listen to the excited reports I have received from Year 1 and Year 2 regarding their trip on Thursday, they visited the Downs with Helen Parry from the National Trust and thoroughly enjoyed their opportunity to learn outside in the environment. Let’s hope the Bank Holiday weather allows us all to get out and about this weekend.
As we have an extra day this weekend it may be a good time to undertake the “bugbusting challenge” to ensure that we have no unwelcome visitors to the school. This can be done by a number of methods but the NHS guidelines state using a headlice comb and conditioner at least once a week is proven to be successful. More information can be found on the NHS website.
Have a great (and hopefully sunny) Bank Holiday Weekend.
Ms Hall.
