I had the pleasure of leading Golden Worship this morning and there was an unplanned theme which ran through many of the comments written about children. Many of them had displayed acts of kindness or had selflessly given their time to serve others. Rebecca in Year 3 was congratulated on her positive attitude and when asked for her top tip to stay positive she explained that she found being kind to others helped her to be happy and remain positive. It was wonderful to see our children living out our Christian Values. Well done Brighstone.
Years 5 and 6 have travelled far and wide this week. Year 5 pupils have been up the Amazon, well almost! It was a very hot and humid experience on Tuesday but thoroughly enjoyable. The children found it hard to choose their favourite animal but many were mesmerized by the Ocelot. Year 6 left school very early on Monday morning on their expedition to Wales. We await their arrival back to school with anticipation. I cannot wait to be regaled with the stories.
My thanks go out to those children and families who came along to Shorwell Midsummer Show last Saturday. We received many compliments on our Country Dancing and I am sure that it will be equally appreciated at Chalefest this Sunday.
With only just over a week to go Chitty Chitty Bang Bang tickets are selling like hot cakes. We have limited numbers left, if you are yet to purchase your tickets or need another one or two please contact Suzanne or Fiona in the office.
Whatever you have planned for this weekend I hope that the sun shines and you have a lovely time.
