Parent View - Give Ofsted your view on your child's school

Issue 14, Brighstone Buzz, 12th December, 2014

Where has the time gone? Just one more (very busy) week of term left. This week the children have been rehearsing lots for next week’s performance of ‘Over by Christmas’. Many of you have already had the pleasure of listening to the soundtrack for the show, please see below for dates and times and don’t forget your tissues!

Tomorrow is our annual Christmas Fayre from 1.00-4.00pm. There will be lots of arts and crafts for sale, refreshments, chocolate tombola to name but a few stands and a little reindeer tells me, Father Christmas himself will be here! All profits go to the BSA who work so tirelessly all year to raise money to help school causes.

Our school choir performed at the opening ceremony of The Brighstone Christmas Tree Festival yesterday, a great Brighstone event which will run until Sunday the 14th. We have two trees displayed this year and they can be found either in St Mary’s Church or the Methodist Church on Wilberforce Road.

I just cannot believe it’s the last week of the Autumn term next week, I am very much looking forward to Christmas dinner and Christmas party day.

Wishing you all a great weekend and I hope to see many of you at the Fayre tomorrow.

Parent Survey – Feedback

“Brighstone School is an excellent school. Very happy with the progress my child is making”

“My child has come on in leaps and bounds and has massively surprised me. I am very happy.”

Thanks to all parents who took part in our recent Parent Questionnaire. We are proud to report that 100% of parents who responded said that their child is happy and feels safe at our school. The responses this year also show an overall improvement in the school’s performance in meeting particular pupils’ needs, supporting learning, receiving information about progress and dealing with bullying – and it was great to see that you feel we are good at keeping you well informed.

Our thanks to all parents who completed the questionnaire.
