WELCOME BACK! I hope that you have all had a wonderful Summer Holiday.
It was lovely to see so many smiling faces on Wednesday as you all arrived at School looking smart in your Uniform. Everyone settled quickly into their new classrooms including those children and staff for whom it was their first day. New beginnings can be exceedingly exciting and at times a little scary but everyone took the start of the new term in their stride.
I have observed many acts of love and kindness this week as one child has helped another: in the classroom; the playground and in the dining hall to mention just a few. Our collective worship today focused on belonging to the Brighstone Primary School family and it was with great pride that I saw heads nodding from Reception class through to Year 6 when I asked if they felt as though they belonged. The children were brimming with ideas when asked how we could ensure that everyone belonged, all of which reflected the love that we know is at the heart of our school.
Due to several requests for the Uniform List we have attached a copy to the Buzz. We stock a range of new and second-hand (only 50p a piece) Uniform in School however many other sources also stock clothing of an appropriate colour. During our exploration of belonging this week it was wonderful to hear the children explain how proud they feel wearing their Brighstone Primary School Uniform. We are encouraging all children to keep their shirts tucked in and to stay as ‘paint free’ as possible!
I am excited to be able to offer the opportunity for many parents to join in a range of Science workshops giving them the opportunity to work alongside their children…Look out for the letter very soon!
Have a wonderful weekend and I look forward to seeing you all on Monday.
