NEWS FLASH! I am delighted to tell you that from September we will be welcoming two new teachers to Brighstone Primary
School. Mr Evans who is currently based at Northwood Primary School will be joining Key Stage 2 and Mrs Jones who
teaches at Queensgate Primary School will be based in Key Stage 1. I will soon be able to confirm exactly which year groups
they will be teaching however I am certain that they will be two further jewels in our crown.
It has been brought to my attention today that several parents are manoeuvring their cars into the bus lane at high speed and
without indicating to allow them to drop children off. This morning there was a near miss which thankfully did not result in any
injury however I am sure that you can imagine what might have happened. The welfare of all our community is obviously
paramount and I would ask that you drive in a safe manner.
Phil the Bag will be visiting again next week so there is another chance to empty a wardrobe or two! Items can be dropped off
in any bag. Details of times etc. can be found below.
I know that you will all join me in crossing your fingers for all those walkers crossing the Island this weekend and congratulate
all of you who have either already completed miles towards your Walk the Wight total or who are taking part on Sunday.
On behalf of the whole school community I also send a message of love, good luck and congratulations to Miss. Capelin who
gets married tomorrow (Saturday) and will return to school on Monday as Mrs Cousins. I have had the pleasure of spending
the day with Diamond class today and they are all very excited about the upcoming merriment. The majority of them will be
joining Miss. Capelin tomorrow to help her celebrate and can hardly contain themselves. Congratulations once again Miss.
Capelin xx. Have a super weekend.
