Parent View - Give Ofsted your view on your child's school

13th June 2014

We have had a lovely week – mainly because the sun has finally decided to shine! The children have spent lots of time

outside, including taking part in the field/track trials for our Sports Day next week. You will be informed as to whether your

child has made it into the finals. On that note, if the good weather continues, you may want to consider sending in hats and

sun cream (named please!).

The South-East ‘Blooming Schools’ judges have visited this morning and have complimented Mrs Stables, Mrs Metcalfe and

the whole school on their obvious enthusiasm, hard work and progress in developing our garden and school grounds.

I have great pleasure in sharing the news of our most recent teacher appointment. Mrs Westhorpe will be joining the

Brighstone team in September. Please see attached letter to find out who will be teaching your child’s class next year.

Have a lovely weekend. We look forward to seeing you at Sports Day on Wednesday. If you’re staying all day, don’t forget

your picnic!

Parent Survey – Feedback

“Brighstone School is an excellent school. Very happy with the progress my child is making”

“My child has come on in leaps and bounds and has massively surprised me. I am very happy.”

Thanks to all parents who took part in our recent Parent Questionnaire. We are proud to report that 100% of parents who responded said that their child is happy and feels safe at our school. The responses this year also show an overall improvement in the school’s performance in meeting particular pupils’ needs, supporting learning, receiving information about progress and dealing with bullying – and it was great to see that you feel we are good at keeping you well informed.

Our thanks to all parents who completed the questionnaire.
