Issue 7, Brighstone Buzz, 17th October, 2014

Wow where do the weeks go!?

Next week is the last week of this half term and it is only three days long for the children. If you would like to take advantage of FAB club holiday provision please let us know.

After school clubs are filling fast. There are still spaces in most clubs although Cartoon drawing club is now full and has a waiting list. If you would like to take part in any of our clubs please ensure your slip is returned as soon as possible.

I have had a wonderful afternoon. I had the pleasure of sharing a story with Panda class and would like to thank them for their help in identifying the animals that we came across in the Jungle. After, I had seven Golden Ticket holders join me in my office. They brought their books with them and shared the pieces of work that they were really proud of, what a wonderful treat. I look forward to meeting with a different group of children each Friday.

We had a super response to our Year 3 Family Learning Science workshop this week. Next Monday is Year 4’s opportunity to explore the world of Minibeasts, a few spaces are still available!

I hope that you have a terrific weekend and look forward to seeing you Monday.

Parent Survey – Feedback

“Brighstone School is an excellent school. Very happy with the progress my child is making”

“My child has come on in leaps and bounds and has massively surprised me. I am very happy.”

Thanks to all parents who took part in our recent Parent Questionnaire. We are proud to report that 100% of parents who responded said that their child is happy and feels safe at our school. The responses this year also show an overall improvement in the school’s performance in meeting particular pupils’ needs, supporting learning, receiving information about progress and dealing with bullying – and it was great to see that you feel we are good at keeping you well informed.

Our thanks to all parents who completed the questionnaire.
