We are buzzing early this week because tomorrow will see us all at the beach enjoying a day of interesting and exciting activities.
It has been a week of highlights this week. We welcomed a visitor to worship on Monday from the Earl Mountbatten Hospice. Children from Brighstone raised a fantastic £714.00 and Danielle had come to say a big thank you. As she left she commented that out of the schools she had visited over the last 6 years she received the most thank yous at Brighstone. Our singing also shone out for her. Well done Brighstone!
Year 6 travelled to Portsmouth Cathedral today joining many other Schools from the Diocese to take part in the leaver’s service. They were, as always great ambassadors for Brighstone Primary School. The trip to and from Southsea on the hovercraft was a first for many.
The rain may have dampened our spirits on the morning of Sports Day but nothing could stop us in the afternoon. Personal bests were set and throughout this week we have seen many outstanding sporting performances. My thanks go to all of the parents who joined us yesterday and we were impressed by how many of you joined in with the adult race! I am sure you will join with me to thank the volunteers and staff who organised and contributed to the day.
