It has been a little quiet in Brighstone Primary since Wednesday! I think it may have something to do with us waving goodbye to Years 4 and 6 as they excitedly made their way to Grosvenor Hall in Kent for their two night Residential trip. They visited Arundel Castle en route and have taken part in a wide range of activities so far. They return later today and we can’t wait to hear all about it.
Year 5 pupils have also been out and about this week as they visited a BAE workshop which took place at Yarmouth Primary School, along with year 6 pupils from other schools in the West Wight area. They had a great time and found it very interesting.
A huge thank you has to go to Mrs Rogers and our country dancers who wowed the crowds at the Shorwell Fair last Saturday. The Year 3’s success was celebrated in Golden Assembly today and Year 4 will be acknowledged next Friday.
I have received many well written applications from Year 5 children who are interested in becoming Head boy and Girl in September. I will enjoy reading through them all this weekend before talking to them next week.
Wishing you all a great weekend and hoping the sun stays out!
