What a difference a week makes! We now have an actual building. The roof was delivered yesterday and was erected immediately; weather permitting the builders are on track to complete our new classrooms by November. We welcomed a few parents to our assessment information evening on Wednesday, the end of year expectation sheets that were available will also be handed out at the pupil focus evenings which will take place on Monday 28th September. You can sign up for an appointment from Monday at 8.00 a.m. You can either call or come into the office and select which time suits you best. This method is being trialled in response to parent feedback as it gives all parents an equal opportunity to benefit from “first come, first served”.
Year 1 and 2 all enjoyed an exciting trip to the Fisk’s farm this week, a big thank you to Mr. Fisk for hosting Butterfly and Ladybird Class.
Next week years 5 and 6 are off to London to visit the British Museum. My thanks also goes to the BSA whose hard work throughout the year and subsequent kind donations towards school trips allows us to keep costs as low as possible.
Next weekend (26th-27th September) is a busy one with the BSA Around the Island Relay taking place on the Saturday as well as our Car Boot Sale on Sunday 27th.
