Parent View - Give Ofsted your view on your child's school

Issue 27, Brighstone Buzz, 22nd April, 2016

Dear parents,

Wow what a week and what an introduction to working in the school. A visit from OFSTED and Head Teacher interviews. It has been an incredibly busy and challenging week. Can I firstly thank the staff for the sterling effort over the period. Their commitment and hard work is a testament to the ethos of the school. In addition our governors have certainly worked extremely hard to support the OFSTED process and carry out the Interviews – no mean feat! They support our school with little recompense and continue to be extremely committed to the school. The children have been really good and have taken these significant distractions in their stride, they are great kids!

In terms of feedback from OFSTED we are unable to publish any information regarding the inspection until the report has been validated. This generally takes around 4 weeks and hopefully will be here before half term. We will of course get this to you at the earliest possible opportunity.

The Head Teacher interviews were completed yesterday and the chair of governors will write to you directly to inform you of the outcome.

Hopefully the weather stays good for the family Fun day tomorrow and hopefully I will see some of you there from 1:30pm.

Have a great weekend

Parent Survey – Feedback

“Brighstone School is an excellent school. Very happy with the progress my child is making”

“My child has come on in leaps and bounds and has massively surprised me. I am very happy.”

Thanks to all parents who took part in our recent Parent Questionnaire. We are proud to report that 100% of parents who responded said that their child is happy and feels safe at our school. The responses this year also show an overall improvement in the school’s performance in meeting particular pupils’ needs, supporting learning, receiving information about progress and dealing with bullying – and it was great to see that you feel we are good at keeping you well informed.

Our thanks to all parents who completed the questionnaire.
