Dear Parents and Carers,
As we approach the end of term, I would like to congratulate all of the children for their achievements and hard work. They have shown so much stamina, enthusiasm and energy as they have continued with the Christmas preparations and their learning.
We had a really meaningful start to our Christmas celebrations yesterday, the school choir led the carol singing at the service to open the Christmas Tree Festival, helping us to reflect on the meaning and message of Christmas. Thank you very much to Chris Biggs and Mrs Pugh for working so hard with the children and for encouraging them with their singing.
It is not only the school choir that has been working hard on extra-curricular activities, all of our football teams have taken on a number of sporting challenges. They have had mixed fortunes with some wins and some losses. We would like to celebrate their achievements, their team spirit and level of sportsmanship is excellent. A huge thank you to Mrs Snow for all of her hard work with the teams and also to Mr Givens who has stepped in to help.
I would like to thank all of the parents who have attended our Coffee and Chat sessions so far this week, it has been really helpful to be able to share the ideas that you have for the school and for the various offers of support that have been made. We will explore how we can develop some of the ideas and put them into action during the Spring Term. I look forward to meeting more of the parents who are able to attend next week’s sessions.
I hope you will be able to support us at the Christmas Fayre this Saturday (10th December). The BSA has put in a huge amount of work, their support and generosity makes a huge difference to the school. I would also like to thank them and the parents that came along to help last Friday with the Christmas preparations, wrapping presents and decorating – the Christmas Tree in the school hall is spectacular.
Wishing you all a festive weekend.
Best wishes
Mrs Fox
