King Hal Visit - Tuesday 3rd Novemebr 2009

8 / 10 / 2009

1st October 2009

Dear Parents/guardians,

Our topic in Lions and Tigers next half-term will be based around Tudor history.

As well as an exciting trip to the Mary Rose Dockyards in Portsmouth, we have arranged for King Hal (UK’s number one Henry VIII look-a-like and re-enactor) to visit the school and having seen him and heard the feedback from the children at my previous school, he really has the knack of bringing the era to life. You can learn more about him on his website at http://goodkinghal.ebiz-design.co.uk/index.html .

He will be visiting the school on: Tuesday 3rd November 2009

The school will be subsidising his visit, so are asking parents for a contribution of £3.00 towards the cost of this wonderfully interactive day. Alongside the cost for the Mary Rose, the total cost of the two events is £16.00. Although an expensive amount, I can guarantee that both events will be memorable, and the children will gain a huge amount of learning from them. We are happy to take payments in instalments if parents wish.

Yours sincerely,

Amanda Johnston
Headteacher
