Our recent Christingle service in St. Mary’s Church, Brighstone surrounded by the stunning Christmas trees from the Brighstone Tree Festival.
Years 1, 2 and 3 were very excited to have a visit from Simon James, author and illustrator of several children’s books including Dear Greenpeace, Baby Brains and REX. He was very entertaining, explaining how his ideas develop into words and pictures. He even demonstrated his illustration techniques . . . amazing!
Year 2 performing their interpretation of the story ‘The Scarecrow who didn’t scare’ to Reception Class.
Years 1 & 2 having fun walking up to Brighstone Forest with National Trust Ranger, Mrs Parry to explore habitats. Despite the rain, they sheltered in the woods to have lunch and make dens!
Years 1 & 2 walking past the ‘Dragon Tree’ and old Mill Pond to Marsh Green Farm, to explore habitats.
Years 3, 4 & 5 exploring Ancient Egypt and enjoying constructing pyramids out of Lego and turning each other into mummies!
