For those of you who are undertaking the last 4 miles from Freshwater to Alum Bay on 16th May, arrangements are detailed below: Parking will be the same as last year. There will be very limited space at Freshwater, so all parents are asked to park in the field on the left hand side of the road before the Needles Park at Alum Bay. The Hospice will then provide ‘Wight Bus’ to shuttle all families to Freshwater Bay for the start of the walk. Parking in the field will be available from 8.30am, and the ‘Wight Bus’ Shuttle will run from 9am until all families are taken to Freshwater Bay. You will be allowed to start walking from Freshwater between 9am and 11am. After you have completed the walk, you may then walk back up from the Needles Park to the field, there will be a designated path. Please DO NOT walk in the road as there will be coaches and buses using the road!!! Don’t forget that ONLY those children with a walker’s number will get a medal at the end, so please make sure that your child is wearing their number and t-shirt.
